K-6 Shorashim Overview
Our Jewish education program begins on Sunday mornings when our students and their parents enter the sanctuary for communal prayer and song. Optional adult learning may be offered when classes start.
Students study a variety of Judaic topics and themes. Grades K-2 begin to learn Hebrew letters and basic Hebrew vocabulary. Grades 3-6 experience engaging Judaic learning experiences in the classroom and hands-on electives based on their interests.
Our K-6 program emphasizes communal connections including holiday celebrations, family Shabbat dinners and services, social gatherings, retreats, and overnights for older students.
We aim for students to engage in relevant Jewish learning and discussion, connect with peers and friends, and feel positive about their Jewish identity.
Grades 3-6 Hebrew Learning
Small groups of students are arranged to provide more intimate and productive learning in one-hour Hebrew classes.

Introductory School Program
Shorashim Religious School registration is open to members of the Temple Beth David community. Jewish education and life-long learning are central to our synagogue.
If you are interested in trying our education program, we offer an introductory year where you may join the Temple and enroll a child in Grades K-2 for one year for only the cost of tuition. You have a courtesy membership for the first year.
