Join us for meaningful, spiritually uplifting, and joyful Shabbat celebration.
Shabbat Service Livestream
All are welcome at Shabbat services. Shabbat evening services are at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted. Children are especially welcome; feel free to borrow from the Shabbat toy bin when you enter the sanctuary. A lay-led Shabbat morning minyan meets weekly at 9:00 am for prayer, bagels and study in the library. All are welcome to worship and celebrate with our community on Shabbat mornings at 10:30 am when there are B'nai Mitzvah.
We gather weekly to welcome Shabbat in the warmth of community and friends. We come together in prayer and song, and seek the peace of Shabbat that has sustained the Jewish people for centuries.
Our Rabbi leads Shabbat services on most Friday evenings and some Saturday mornings throughout the year along with a variety of musical partnership. Lay-led Shabbat morning services and Torah study occur year round.
We strive to create a warm, welcoming worship experience with beautiful and varied music inspiring to all. Special services include Friday Night Live with a band, an intimate Shabbat in the Round with various musicians, and Shorashim Family Shabbat Experiences.
All are encouraged to participate and add their voice.
Our services blend traditional and modern customs, Hebrew and English. Our siddur, prayerbook, is transliterated, so all can participate and understand. Sometimes we read or study Torah, sometimes we hear a story from our tradition, and sometimes we listen to a message from our Rabbi.
Children are always welcome. They often sing and help lead parts of the service.
We sometimes gather for delicious Shabbat dinners before or after services and we always enjoy onegs after Friday night services, opportunities to connect with other congregants and guests.

Shabbat Oneg (literally "joy" - refreshments after services) is more than just a time to nosh; it’s a chance for our congregation to get to know each other and come together in community.
